One of the funkiest coffee shops in West Palm Beach has opened its long-awaited second location in south county.
Subculture Coffee, the popular, year-old collab of restaurateur Rodney Mayo and artisanal coffee roaster Sean Scott, is now pouring its small-batch coffees in Delray Beach’s dining hub.
The newly debuted Subculture, which serves fresh juices, local craft beers and some baked goods, has breathed new life into the former Atlantic Smoothies space. Contributing to the new look of the space were local artists, including Meghan McKenna of Bazooka Digital, who painted a lush chalk mural on the wall, and Kayla Whitehurst, who created a decoupage ceiling-scape of color and black-and-white photographs.
The space, which sits across the street from Park Tavern, is also home to Alchemy Juice Co., which bottles its fresh-pressed juiced onsite.
