Palm Beach Post: West Palm’s Newest Hot Spot – Lost Weekend

The new local hot spot in downtown West Palm Beach. Call it the place you can go to find yourself, but call it Lost Weekend.

The Vibe

In a word (or two), Lost Weekend can be described as ‘hipster nostalgia.” It comes complete with major chill, dim lighting, a jukebox choosing the music and posters of Hollywood movie stars like Paul Newman lining the walls. The place is organized by high-top tables, a couch circle, old-school style arcade games (like Ms. Pacman and Mortal Kombat), the bar (duh), Foosball, pool tables (lots of pool tables) and the best game ever, skeeball.

The Drinks

Lost Weekend has a lot of beers, cocktails and even wine to choose from. Cocktails with clever names and stronger mixes, such as:

  • One of the Greats, which is made with Coopers Craft Bourbon, bitters and sugar ($11)
  • Shakespeare on an Empty Stomach, which is made with Nolet’s Gin, cucumber, citrus, honey and Hefeweizen ($12)
  • Helen St. James, which is made with Tito’s Vodka, lychee, mint and bitters ($11)

Craft and domestic beers are also available ranging from $3-$8. A Guinness was only $3.27 (to be exact, for Happy Hour), which is almost unheard of, but extremely welcomed.

Pro tip: Happy Hour is 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., seven nights a week, offering half off drinks.
